Detailed description of the campaign
On 28th of January an earthquake of magnitude 5.9 heavily hit the city of Khoy (West Azerbaijan province), Iran and many villages in its vicinity. RWB is stepping in to fulfill its social responsibility and help the families who have lost theirs homes, to the fullest extent. Thanks to our local contacts and trustees, we were able to make an estimate of how much money needs to be raised.
Our estimate is 15000 Euros which we are going to raise in 3 phases. During phase 1, we want to raise 5000 Euros using which the below mentioned items will be provided to the families:
- dry foods such as rice, pasta, cooking oil and can goods which could be used by families for a longer period of time
- required ingredients for local kitchens who are preparing warm food for locals who lost their homes
- supporting families of children suffering from cancer. These families are under additional pressure of providing the cost of their children’s required medicines, next to losing their home/shop/work/source of income. We are working with a local charity who was supporting these families before the earthquake.
After successful completion of phase 1, we will re-connect with our local contacts to understand the up to date needs. This is to make sure that the items that we will purchase fit to the most recent needs of families in the best possible way. The same will be done after competition of phase 2.
